 Desideria Corridoni, known as Desiree in the arts, was born in Rome, Italy into a high profile “cinema” family.
Desiree began her career on the set of Federico Fellini’s film “La città delle donne” immediately after that she worked at the colossal King David with Richard Gere and, in the first years of her career, continued working with the most important Italian directors Alberto Lattuada, Mauro Bolognini, Enrico Maria Salerno and Franco Zeffirelli on “Otello “and “The Young Toscanini” with Elisabeth Taylor. She became Hair Stylist and began working in important American and English films as “Seven Years in Tibet”,directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud , “The Affair of the Necklace”,  by Charles Shyer, and “Tea with Mussolini”,  by Franco Zeffirelli with the oscar-winning Brad Pritt, Hilary Swank, Adrien Brody, Christopher Walken, Maggie Smith, Cher, Judi Dench.
She has been also involved in several TV series and receives 2 Emmy Awards Nominations for “Cleopatra”, by Franc Roddam, and “My House in Umbria”, by Richard Loncraine with Maggie Smith and Chris Cooper, also him an Oscar-winning. She was in his last movie and then continues her professional growth working in American Colossal including “Passion”,  by Mel Gibson, “Ocean’s Twelve”, by Steven Soderbergh, “Mission Impossible III”, by J.J.Abrams,  always working with important actors and Academy Awards Winning as George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Catherina Zeta-Jones.
During the film “The Brothers Grimm" by Terry Gilliam she met Heath Ledger, with who was born an incredible friendship. In Ledger’s following film, “Casanova”, Desiree became his personal hair designer.
 
In 2006 she reaches the peak of her career as the Hair & Wig Designer of Sofia Coppola’s film “Marie Antoniette” where, according to the style of the film, she creates Epoca Hairstyles revisited in a fashion way.  For this film won the Bulgari Cinecittà Holding, L’Oreal Professional Award and the Berenice Chioma Award as best Hair Stylist and received several nominations at BAFTA London and OFTA Film Award Gold Derby Film Award in Los Angeles.

During the following years she continued her professional career working in international movies and TV series with other Oscar-Winning actors including Vanessa Redgrave, winning two more Berenice Chioma Awards for the TV series “Coco Chanel”,  with Shirley Mclaine, and “Kiss Your Hands” and receiving other two Berenice Chioma Awards Nomination for the TV series  “TUT” and “Rudolph Valentino The Legend”.
In 2014 she organized several master classes of vintage hairstyles in Bulgary at Sofia’s Nu Boyana and in the same year she realized in Rome an exhibition of contemporary art of sculptures of ‘700s hairstyles using recycled material entitled “Marie Antoinette C’est Moi”.
 
In the the last few years she collaborates with her hairstyles at the last Piero Tosi masterclasses at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and works in several art films including “Looking for Oum Kulthum”, the story of the famous Egyptian singer Oum Kulthum directed by Shirin Neshat with Egyptian actress Yasmin Raeis,  and “Sin, The Story of Michelangelo” directed by Russian master Andrey Konchalovskiy . 
 
In 2018-2019 she works in “Kingdoms of Fire”, an Arab television drama series about the reign of Selim I of the Ottoman Empire and Tuman bay II, created by Muhammed Abdulmalik, directed by British director Peter Webber and with the most important Arab actors including Khaled Nabawy , Mahmoud Nasr , Rasheed Assaf , Abdel Moneim Amiry , Mona Wassef.
